Hey everyone. Just another topic I'd like to discuss. Is this guy right here.
He's pretty much the definition of awesome card. I know you're probably thinking that he's so lack-luster, or that when you play him, you're just already winning. But let me implore you, find those creatures with GREAT cantrips, and you will be successful. Now, in strictly competitive environments, there are just tons of cards he goes with. Check out www.cardkingdom.com and just use their advanced search and type "When" and "enters the battlefield". You'll be shocked! I promise that blink mechanic is an upcoming theme that will be Tier 1 competative play.
Why would they print this card if he wasn't going to be the REAL DEAL?
All I can say is, I'm pumped to see where they take him, and I know that you want to snag your playset while this card is 5-10$ each. Trust me on this one.
Thanks for all the comments, I hope I responded to everyone. I'm out for the night, got to get some rest for the big day tomorrow, I'll be sure to bring back many pictures and videos and try to give a good advice segment on what works and what doesn't. :)
Ive never played, whats the game called? Ive only plaed Yugioh and Pokemon back in the day
ReplyDeleteIt's called Magic the Gathering, it's the adult version of pokemon and yugioh essentially, it's srs bsnss to a lot of people! In my small tiny town in Alabama 40 people get together every Friday to duke it out.

Is a good link to check out. Thanks man!
I was never good at any of these card-based games, but awesome post.
ReplyDeleteThis is an unusual card, I'm not sure what exile does. I played starting around Mercadian Masques until Apocalypse-ish era.
ReplyDeleteExile is what they call "Remove from the game" now.
ReplyDelete"Into play" is now "into the battlefield"
all in lust for "ambiance and lore" :)
Never heard of it before, never been into card games but will tell a friend who is about this.
ReplyDeletegonna follow this blog I fucking love magic
ReplyDeleteGreat investments vastly offer great returns! The same counts for MTG cards :)
ReplyDeletethe cards look so different from when i played it back in the day O__O weird
ReplyDeletei use to play magic a few years ago. never heard of this card before
ReplyDeletei dunno he costs 5 for a planeswalker than cant defend himself. usually to be good a walker must defend himself or be very cheap to cast (little jace)
ReplyDeletei havent played magic in years. might start up again sometime
ReplyDeleteI'm scared.. what happened to the attack and defense at the bottom? Is there only one number on new cards now? PLEASE EXPLAIN AMENDS.
ReplyDeleteI was never really into MTG but it always looked kinda cool
ReplyDeleteI used to collect Pokemon cards back when they were cool. Noone even bothered making decks and playing the game properly though, and I always wanted to play the actual game. MTG looks quite sophisticated, something I might want to get into now that I'm more mature.
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog, I love the idea. I used to play MTG religiously when I was young.
ReplyDeleteI played so much mtg, but I lost a ton of my cards when I moved :'( anyway I love your blog idea, and ftr, that card is badass!
ReplyDeletethats a nice planeswalker. new follower

Quick analysis of Venser. Everyone has tried to break him already. There may be more stuff from MBS, but I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I think Venser hasn't taken off is the fact that hes a build around me card. He requires you [atm] to play sub-par cards to make sure hes good in your deck, and therefore your deck is weaker. In addition, he's a 5 drop, and a planeswalker that cannot defend themselves generally don't do well.
Look at Legacy for example. Legacy only uses 2, maybe 3 planeswalkers- Jace v2, Elspeth v1 and Ajani V. Those 3 planeswalkers can all defend themselves very well, and can just flat out win the game.
Since Venser doesn't carry those qualities, and has a higher CMC then usually is required for playability, Venser isn't playable yet, and I doubt it will be in future.
magic is so fun
ReplyDelete! come support yourself at -> Motivational confessions
