A Card of Great Interest to Me

Hey everyone. Just another topic I'd like to discuss. Is this guy right here.

He's pretty much the definition of awesome card. I know you're probably thinking that he's so lack-luster, or that when you play him, you're just already winning. But let me implore you, find those creatures with GREAT cantrips, and you will be successful. Now, in strictly competitive environments, there are just tons of cards he goes with. Check out www.cardkingdom.com and just use their advanced search and type "When" and "enters the battlefield". You'll be shocked! I promise that blink mechanic is an upcoming theme that will be Tier 1 competative play.

Why would they print this card if he wasn't going to be the REAL DEAL?

All I can say is, I'm pumped to see where they take him, and I know that you want to snag your playset while this card is 5-10$ each. Trust me on this one.

Thanks for all the comments, I hope I responded to everyone. I'm out for the night, got to get some rest for the big day tomorrow, I'll be sure to bring back many pictures and videos and try to give a good advice segment on what works and what doesn't. :)

  4. This is an unusual card, I'm not sure what exile does. I played starting around Mercadian Masques until Apocalypse-ish era.

  5. Exile is what they call "Remove from the game" now.

"Into play" is now "into the battlefield"

  15. I used to collect Pokemon cards back when they were cool. Noone even bothered making decks and playing the game properly though, and I always wanted to play the actual game. MTG looks quite sophisticated, something I might want to get into now that I'm more mature.

  19. Quick analysis of Venser. Everyone has tried to break him already. There may be more stuff from MBS, but I doubt it.

The only reason I think Venser hasn't taken off is the fact that hes a build around me card. He requires you [atm] to play sub-par cards to make sure hes good in your deck, and therefore your deck is weaker. In addition, he's a 5 drop, and a planeswalker that cannot defend themselves generally don't do well.

Look at Legacy for example. Legacy only uses 2, maybe 3 planeswalkers- Jace v2, Elspeth v1 and Ajani V. Those 3 planeswalkers can all defend themselves very well, and can just flat out win the game.

Since Venser doesn't carry those qualities, and has a higher CMC then usually is required for playability, Venser isn't playable yet, and I doubt it will be in future.
